Sam Parr
Founder of The Hustle and Hampton; co-host of the My First Million podcast.

Ad · HamptonParr started The Hustle, a business newsletter, and sold it to HubSpot. His Hampton ads open with the sale (“I sold my company to HubSpot for a life changing amount of money. But I felt completely alone”), and the video ads caption him “Sold for $30M+”. The Hustle belongs to HubSpot now, and My First Million is part of HubSpot’s podcast network. The funnel he runs himself today is Hampton, his community for founders.
He is Hampton’s advertiser as well as its founder. Nearly every Hampton ad runs from his personal page, often co-branded with the Hampton Founders page, and most are written in his voice: tweets of his reposted as the creative, a selfie video on a rooftop, “My buddy @austinrief…”. The approach is his audience’s, not a brand’s. The ads sell who’s already in the room (Figure, Morning Brew, [solidcore]) and the loneliness of running a company, and let the application do the rest.
The ladder
Every funnel Sam Parr runs, sorted by what it asks of you. The cheap rungs are doors to the expensive ones.
